Born 3 April 1986 in Thousand Oaks, California, Amanda is an actress first and foremost, but has also worked as a comedian and fashion designer.

She first found fame as a child star in the 1990s and early 2000s on Nickelodeon series All That and The Amanda Show.

In 2002 she landed a role on What I Like About You on The WB, which she stayed in until 2006.

Films have included What A Girl Wants (2003), alongside Colin Firth, She’s The Man (2006), alongside Channing Tatum, Hairspray (2007) and Easy A (2010).

However, in 2010, after finishing Easy A which is her last film to date, she announced an indefinite hiatus from acting.
